Frequently Asked

Lash Lift

  • A lash lift is a semi-permanent beauty treatment that enhances the natural curl of your lashes, giving them a longer and more voluminous appearance without the need for extensions. During the procedure, a specialist uses a lifting solution to curl your natural lashes from the base to the tip, creating a beautiful, wide-eyed look.

The results can last anywhere from 6 to 8 weeks, depending on your natural lash growth cycle. A lash lift is perfect for those looking to enhance their lashes with minimal maintenance and can be paired with a tint for added definition and depth.

  • A lash lift enhances the natural curl and length of your lashes, giving them a more open and lifted appearance. The result can vary based on your natural lash length, thickness, and curl. Generally, after a lash lift, you can expect your lashes to appear:

More Curled:** Lashes will have a noticeable upward curl that can make your eyes look larger and more awake.

Longer:** The lift creates an illusion of length, making your lashes look longer without the need for extensions.

Defined:** Your natural lashes will be more defined, enhancing their visibility and creating a more dramatic effect.

  • To prepare for your lash lift appointment, follow these steps:

Avoid Eye Makeup:** Refrain from wearing eye makeup, including mascara and eyeliner, on the day of your appointment to ensure the products don’t interfere with the lifting solution.

Clean Lashes:** Arrive with clean lashes.

Avoid Caffeine:** It’s advisable to limit caffeine intake before your appointment, as it can make you more jittery and sensitive during the process.

  • Yes, you can wear makeup after a lash lift, but it’s best to wait at least 24 hours before applying mascara or other eye makeup. This allows the lifting solution to fully set and ensures the best results. After 24 hours, you can enjoy your regular makeup routine, but consider using a water-based mascara to maintain the health of your lashes

  • Typically, a lash lift can be done every 6 to 8 weeks. This timeframe allows your natural lashes to grow out and ensures that the lift remains effective. It’s essential to assess the condition of your lashes with your technician during each appointment to determine the appropriate timing for your next lift.

  • No, a lash lift will not damage your natural lashes when performed correctly by a trained professional. The process involves using a gentle lifting solution that is specifically formulated to curl and enhance your lashes without causing harm.

Karen prioritize the health of your natural lashes and use high-quality products that are safe and effective. During your appointment, I will assess the condition of your lashes and tailor the treatment to suit your individual needs. It’s important to follow the aftercare instructions provided to maintain the health and integrity of your lashes after the lift.

  • Before your appointment, the only thing you need to do is shower and wash your hair if you plan to — because after your lash lift, you’ll need to keep your lashes dry for 24 hours. That means no water, no steam, and no heat. Even a little bit of steam from the shower or kitchen can affect your results, so it’s important to plan ahead.

If you wear contacts, no worries — they’re totally fine to wear during this time. Just try not to fully saturate your lashes when inserting or removing them. When doing your skincare, be gentle around the eyes and avoid getting your lashes wet. You can wait longer than 24 hours if you’d like to play it safe, but 24 hours is the minimum drying time.

After that? You’re good to go. You can get them wet, wear makeup, and return to your usual routine. There’s nothing you have to do — but if you want to take it a step further, we always recommend using a lash growth serum to keep your lashes full and strong over time.

At KG Beauty, we’re all about keeping your lashes healthy — even when they don’t need extra care. One of our favorite serums is Borboleta Beauty Lash Serum — it’s safe for both lash lifts and lash extensions. You can also use any hydrating or conditioning lash serum if you want to boost softness and shine, but again — not required.

You can even wear mascara if you’d like, though you won’t feel the need to.

Just wake up and go — it really is that easy.

Brow Lamination

  • Brow lamination is a beauty treatment designed to create a fuller, more defined brow shape. This semi-permanent procedure involves a gentle chemical solution that relaxes and reshapes your brow hairs, allowing them to be brushed into your desired position.

The result is sleek, smooth brows that look effortlessly groomed and can last up to 6-8 weeks. Whether you want to tame unruly hairs, create the illusion of thickness, or achieve a more polished look, brow lamination is the perfect solution for enhancing your natural brows.

  • To ensure your newly laminated brows look their best and last as long as possible, follow these aftercare tips:

Avoid Wetting:** For the first 24 hours, avoid getting your brows wet. This means no swimming, saunas, or intense workouts that cause excessive sweating.

No Makeup:** Refrain from applying makeup or skincare products to your brows for the first 24 hours to allow the treatment to set properly.

Gentle Touch:** Be gentle when touching or grooming your brows. Avoid rubbing or pulling on the hairs.

Brush Daily:** Use a clean spoolie brush to lightly groom your brows daily, keeping them in the desired shape.

Moisturize:** Consider using a brow oil or nourishing serum to keep the hairs hydrated and healthy, but only after the initial 24-hour period.

Remember: Proper aftercare is crucial for maintaining the shape and longevity of your brow lamination. If you have any questions or need product recommendations, feel free to reach out!

Lash Extensions

  • Lash extensions are semi-permanent soft fibers applied to each individual natural eyelash with professional adhesive. The service does not damage your natural eyelashes as long as you are not actively pulling the extensions out yourself, your natural lashes should thrive underneath the extensions!

  • Lash extensions typically stay looking full for about 2–3 weeks. Around that time, they’ll start to look a bit sparse as your natural lashes shed — that’s when you’d come in for a fill to replace the gaps. After 3 weeks, it’s usually considered a full set since most lashes are outgrown and need to be safely removed and replaced. Without a fill, your lashes can still last up to a month and will gradually shed with your natural lash cycle

  • Congratulations on your new lash extensions! To ensure they look fresh and last as long as possible, please follow these essential aftercare tips:

Cleanse Daily:** Use a lash-approved cleanser to keep your lashes clean and healthy.

Hands Off:** Avoid picking, pulling, or rubbing your eyes to maintain the integrity of your extensions.

Makeup Guidelines:** Skip eyelash makeup like mascara or strip lashes; however, eyelid makeup (shadow and liner) is perfectly fine.

Be Gentle:** Treat your eye area with care during your skincare routine.

Remember: Proper aftercare leads to better retention and fluffier, healthier lashes between fills! If you have any questions, don’t hesitate to reach out!
